Likes: a) Fun, believe it or not, he would rather have fun than fight. b) Cubs, he loves the energy, craziness, everything about cubs. c) He loves water and it doesn't matter if it is pouring rain or he is in a river up his eyeballs in water, typically he loves it. d) The mornings, he loves dawn and that is when he is most active, trying to stir up trouble or play.[break]
Dislikes: a) Fights, although he has been in his fair share of fights until this point, he would love not to anymore. b) Liars, cheats, and bandits. If you are dishonest, you will not be liked. c) Hyenas, they tore apart his life, nothing makes him madder than those filthy animals. d) Having to much attention brought to the scars or the fact that he is half blind from the missing eye. e) Moonless nights, he doesn't like pitch black all around him, it makes him nervous and gives him worried thoughts.[break]
Strengths: a) When he decides to do something, he makes sure to see it through the end. Even if his hunts end only with a small field mouse, he will see them through however many days it takes. b) With his vision below par, he tends to keep more alert, watching more than he did before when he had sight in both eyes.[break]
Weaknesses: a) He can be slow to react to a fight, giving more chances to other lions than he really should. b) Half blind from a sparring accident with his brother. c) Blames himself for the death of his first mate before they were even able to have cubs.[break]
Life Goals: a) Prove he can provide for a family again and maybe have cubs. b) Kill hyenas[break][break]

Scars are all over this young lion. He has them all over the bridge of his nose, some larger visible ones above his right eye as well as smaller scars on his shoulders and back. He is not heavy on the mane, his ears always can stand out and be noticed. The biggest thing that would make another lion pause is the fact that he is unable to see out of his left eye, because it is not there. It shriveled up and watered for most of the previous year, but is now just a dry socket. His one remaining eye is gold. His mane has a black stripe on the top of his head, circling his neck and down to his underbelly. A thin almost complete circle of reddish tan mane sits on the front of his mane surrounding his face. His muzzle has some white hair below his nose and down his chin a little ways. The typical fold of skin hangs below his belly and his tail is tipped in black. Most of his pelt color is a dusty tan with just hints of a more golden color above his eyes and on his muzzle.

Orrin and Axel were the first cubs born to Loki and Zada. They were very proud of their boys after they were able to grow up some. Loki did try and kill them when they were only days old, he didn't really want that many males around, but Zada managed to keep him at bay. Both cubs grew quickly and loved to play fight. They lived within a few miles of the reserve. When they reached two years old Loki was killed by man. Zada tried her best to keep up with keeping her sons in order, but their fighting was much more intense now that a young lioness had joined their small pride. Chiquita was more fond of Orrin than his brother, but that didn't stop him from aggressively trying to pursue her. The day finally came when Orrin could stand it no longer, the fight was horrible. It left him badly scarred, his eye cut open and weeping, and his lower canine tooth snapped in half. Axel was pretty rough as well and had a large gash on his flank that in the end would never heal and get infected.

Deciding it was time to go for a safer life within the reserve, he took his mother and mate and headed for what he hoped would be a safe haven. While he was at the watering hole one morning, hyenas decided to gang up on the two lionesses and steal the food they had nearby. They were ambushed and the place they had slept was not a good place to get out of fast. It was steep and rocky, plus it had just rained the night before, none of which was a good thing for the two this day. Chiquita fell off the edge, slipping from the rocks and breaking her neck. Zada tried to reach her after she had fallen, but it was useless. The hyenas took off with the kill and by this time Orrin had come back to the scene, heading back when he heard the hyenas, but not in time to do any good. Not long after he chased away Zada, his grief unable to allow him near other lions. After a few months of wandering outside the reserve he finally entered, deciding it was time for him to try and keep going.
