The herd moves together, so you must separate the weak. The herd had moved to the base of the Chifu Mountains. Here the grass was lush and long. It was an easy place for them all to get something to feed on. In the herd, there were four large males who stand to the outskirts of the group. There are six females of an average size. Lastly, there are some calves running in between the adults, three in total. The males are keeping watch for predators, but anything could keep them from actually seeing what is stalking them - if anything.

Most days, the loner would travel about making allies wherever he could to strengthen himself and those who might support his ideals. He was peaceful, willing to bend over backwards to gain trust of those who were more stubborn. Although Aslan has not met but one individual on his journey, the lion was determined to find a lioness or two out in the serengeti where prey were as common as grasshoppers nibbling away at the vegetation, springing away with a flurry of wings made of skin nor feather when disturbed. Today had to be his lucky day, for a small herd of zebras were together; six females and three babies yet the four males would definintely by the issue. He couldn't do this on his own even if there were two males, but out of every con was a pro and he would work his damnedest to get it. The lush grass was enough to conceal himself or any other assisting felines, but a lot of different things could go wrong; competitive groups, honary and inexperienced youngsters, cheetahs, and the list could go on, the plan best suited for worst-coming-to-worst. To call for assistance would alert the group of his position and have no time to explain to anyone willing to eat, so Aslan awaited to spot someone any try to gain their eyes without triggering a mass panic. His gaze scanned through the grass, his muscles tense and waiting to release. |

With her stomach in knots, Chiyo knew it was time for a hunt. She didn't know anyone around, but hoped to find someone already looking for a hunt that she could join in. For the past few days she had spent her time up on the cliffs, trying to get a feel of the new land she now found herself in. However the hunger pains brought her down to the base where the grass was tall and lush. Once she caught the scent and sounds of prey to the east of her, the lioness dropped low and moved quietly. Dashed legs moved quickly but very controlled. Rounded ears kept turning around as she tried to locate any others looking for a hunt. So far nothing.
As she got closer to the herd, the female slowed even more dropping her pace almost to a crawl. Golden eyes looked through the grass as her dark tipped tail twitched. Her pink tongue ran over her left upper lip. The herd wasn't a small one, but hopefully something would go her way and she could get a nice meal out of this. Scanning the surrounding area for other possible threats she noticed a male lion not far from her position.
The pale male lion seemed to be looking for something as well, but hadn't appeared to notice her yet. With a very soft chuff Chiyo tried to get his attention. At least with one other lion they might be able to take down something. She glanced quickly back at the herd to make sure she hadn't alerted them by mistake and was glad to see they hadn't heard. She was far enough away still to not be a threat yet. Once the other lion noticed her, they could advance and start this hunt.
