These lands are where lions come to be free from the tyranny of man. Their familes are being hunted and killed for their skins, their claws, and for trophies. In the direct center of Africa, lies the Onyejekwe Wildlife Reserve. Poachers and Hunters are not allowed to hunt in these parts. Wild lions find sanctuary, raise up their prides, control land, and fight for territory expansion.
From the start of Onyejekwe Reserve, only one lion pride was formed. Dakarai was formed by King Akuma. Will you choose the life of a family, or will you reside all alone and wander the savannah?

Since I don't know any of you, I figured I could put up a small who I am sorta thing. I will give you three things about me and if you want to say something about yourself, feel free and hello! I am also pretty open about these things, if you want to talk about them, I am happy to chat.
1) I work with horses for a living. It is tough and can be dangerous dealing with young horses and breeding stallions, but I am typically always on my toes. I even showed a three year old last summer in my first show, placed 2nd out of 3 the first day and 1st out of the 2 the following. Riding isn't my thing though, I have no balance and problems with my hip but will line and drive them no problem.
2) My pets include 3 chihuahua mixed dogs, 1 silver tabby, and half a horse. The oldest dog is actually my widowhood dog. He watches out for my little one and myself only because his true owner died. He worries over me even when I am not worrying. My youngest dog is chi and jack russell, she is starting to be like my older boy and loves to go for rides in the farm truck now.
3) According to an online site, Viuda means widow in spanish. Our daughter was just a few days shy of ten months old when he was killed. I still suffer from finding him, it had mentally messed me up even though it has been over a year and a half now. So every now and then I have bad days, but I don't ever do anything on those days, just sob like a crazy woman and lay in the fetal position. (Edit to clarify a little: I lost my husband when our child was almost 10 months old. She is 2 1/2 now and acts like him. He was killed in a tractor accident when he fell off the tractor and went under the brush hog)
First, I would like to welcome you to OTP! Thank you for joining us as we embark on this brand new journey. Here's a bit about myself and extra blerbs:
I currently am unemployed, choosing to stop working so I can go back to college. It's just an online school for now, but I have full plans to be actually attending a classroom setting next year.
We own 3 dogs: Ares (Malamute/Wolf), Kira (German Shepherd), and Thor (Great Dane). We have 3 lizards: Godzilla (Savannah Monitor), Captain Morgan (Bearded Dragon), and Vegeta (Crested Gecko). We also have various snakes that range from Ball pythons, Carpet Python, and Boa Constrictors. But we also have a cat, Riley.
This is not the first site I have created, in fact, I own a site that has been alive for over 4 years. It's called Age Of The Wolves. I have created other sites as well, but many of them barely even got off the ground before they failed.
Sorry to hear about your child. I myself have been through 2 miscarriages within the last 5 years. Although none of my children made it past the third trimester, I know how hard it is to lose a baby. Actually, the loss of my first sent me into such a deep depression, I created the site listed above as a way to escape from my problems. If you ever need anyone to talk to, you can always PM me. Hopefully once the site gets going and it's not so slow, our community will become a strong family and we will be able to all escape real life together.
RUE thanks for the welcome, I edited my post a little to clarify the third point a little. I didn't loose my child, I lost my husband. I can't even imagine how much more terrible your pain has been Rue. My little one is all that kept me going and I have been told by one of my friends who is a nurse I most likely suffer some from ptsd now. He fell off the tractor, no one can tell me why, it is still a big question. The tractor kept going over his lower half. The guy from the funeral home had given me a rough idea of how long he had dead so it had roughly been 40 minutes later when I found him out there.
Snakes freak me out, sorry. When I read that it made my skin crawl. Not sure where that came from. I found out a few months after moving in my husband that he used to have snakes, kinda glad he didn't have them anymore.
My boss has two great danes, they are great dogs. Has yours ever broke his tail? We had one winter at the farm last year and she broke her tail.
Well, I am sorry for the loss of your husband. I've been married for 5 years in March, and I could not imagine my life without him. He actually plays on here, his OOC is SAVAGE.
As for the snakes, the family is not too thrilled about them. Hahaha, in fact many of them are afraid of them. I used to think I would not be able to have snakes since I grew up having rodents as pets. But once I got over that, I have been in love with them all the same.
Thor is going to be 2 years old in March, on the 13th. Nope, he's never broken his tail. He's a pretty big goof, but I don't think he wags it hard enough to do so.
Pretty cool your husband roleplays as well. My husband was not computer savvy, he didn't have them growing up and never had to learn about them for the job. He actually only made it to grade 6 before he quit and helped work for his family. He moved to the USA at 17 and lived here for another 17 years. It is kinda strange how that worked out.... I did manage to teach him how to play spider solitaire, fish tycoon, and get on the internet to his Facebook by leaving him logged in and it as the homepage.
I never figured I would loose him so quick either. He had been my solid rock so it really threw my life in utter chaos.
The great Dane that stayed here has also gotten wobbles, I don't remember if that is the horse or dog term, but I think I am more attached to that dog than my boss.
Closest thing I ever had to a non typical pet was I kept my cat from eating a chipmunk once and since it was so tiny we kept it. However my stepdad made me turn it loose....I am 100% sure it got eaten by a cat because his cat became it's buddy...
RUE: Hey everyone in Dakarai, if you could please post in the thread you are tagged in, that would be great! Akuma is trying to claim a territory!
