He has a big and broad chest that tightens up to his flank. All around though he is built pretty big boned. His muzzle os a little big for his face, giving a roman nose nine of look in horses. His nose is black and the underside of his muzzle is an off white that also travels halfway up his cheeks and the lower part of his mane below his face. His ears are hidden from view in his thick mane which is mostly a dark grey mixed with a reddish tan just around his face. The mane travels down to just below his shoulders, leaving a strip of short hair on his shoulder flanked by some thick mane on the outside of his shoulder. His mane also drops down to his belly going back just to behind his elbows. All four paws are off white leading up the inside of his legs to his lighter belly. His pelt is a mostly grey with just a tint of reddish tan throughout his barrel area. His legs have a few stripes on them. The thick tail is grey with a black end, he broke a spot a little above the black end as a cub and the lower part of his tail is no longer straight.[break][break]

Beto was born to a young pair of lions. His mother died having him and thankfully his father managed to get another lioness to take him on. He didn't really know until he was starting to hunt that his real mother was dead, the other cubs he had thought of as siblings no longer wanted to be around him after that. It was during a hunt at age two he got his father killed. Ramon had been loving on another female and Beto got mad. Despite not knowing his mother, he felt bad his father didn't care about her anymore when he blamed the older male for her death. Beto purposely caused the herd of zebras to run into the hunting party instead of just flanking them like he had been commanded. This resulted in getting his father run over and kicked in the head, he died very quickly. However while the herd was freaking out Beto got trapped between two zebras, tried to run out from between them, tripped and got his tail stomped on, breaking it. The following day Beto was run out of the pride. They decided he was no longer needed or a good lion to have around so he was chased out quickly.

Roaming by himself for a year, the male found himself a mate by the name of Ata. She was young and beautiful. He fell head over heels for her and basically worshiped her. However he was the only one who believed they were mates, she just used him as a watch in the night. For the next two years he tried to convince her to have his cubs, but she always seemed more interested in other males and roaming than anything else. Finally he got sick of it and told her to either have his cubs or leave. She found a new male to call her mate and Beto was left alone again. Heartbroken he roamed for a little while before deciding he was much better without her and grew more confident in who he was. Deciding to leave the world over-run by hunters, he made his way towards the safe haven for lions, a reserve. It took him awhile to find the small way in from the outside, but no longer wanting to worry what day would be his last, he took the opening and went inside.
